Francesca Winrow, head of content at the Lancashire Telegraph, said: “We have some brilliant restaurants, pubs and takeaways in East Lancashire and this is a great chance to celebrate some of the best on offer locally.
"To kick things off we asked readers this week to nominate the best places to get excellent pub food. All the nominees deserve their place in this final, and to be honest it is really difficult to choose between them.”
Over the next two months we will be revealing a different category every Monday and calling on readers to help us decide the shortlist. Then on Fridays, voting will open.
