RAP sensation Snoop Dogg got his paws on a Claret shirt – and he loves it.

The superstar was handed the personalised Burnley top as he opened his new LA studios with a Genesys recording desk provided by the town’s world famous recording firm AMS Neve.

When presented with the t-shirt by the company’s marketing officer Elizabeth Wilkinson he told her, ‘it’s dope, I love it’.

Lancashire Telegraph:

The company is the world leading expert in professional audio recording equipment and musicians such as David Bowie and Paul McCartney have used its products.

Snoop’s right hand man, producer, DJ Pooh, said: “The AMS Neve console is great. Snoop could have any console he wanted but the Genesys Black just did exactly what we wanted it to. It sounds amazing. It just fits. The desk has just taken everything to the next level. We love it.”

Ms Wilkinson had travelled from the company’s Burnley HQ in Billington Road to attend an international audio engineering show in Los Angeles.

She said: “Snoop loves his console and our Burnley-based team has worked closely with him on the install, so when I received the invitation to see the finished studio, it was an opportunity not to be missed and really exciting.”

The recording desk is the centrepiece of Snoop’s studio A, named “The Mothership”. Studio B (The Battleship) and studio C (The Battlecruiser) complete the line-up inside the 20,000sq ft building Ms Wilkinson added: “Snoop is a huge soccer fan and has a vast collection of sports jerseys and football shirts.

“It was only natural that we should present him with a Burnley FC shirt to add to his collection.

“His very own Clarets shirt now sits proudly next to his Genesys Black console!”

So far Snoop Dogg has been spotted wearing a Cardiff City and Norwich shirt and previously wore a Liverpool top for a concert performance.
