A BLAZE at a barn in Ribble Valley took four jets to bring it under control earlier today.
Crews from Clitheroe and Hyndburn fire stations were alerted to the incident at a farm in Rimington Lane, Rimington, just before 2pm.
Firefighters were faced with bales of hay and tyres which were alight within the agricultural building and three main jets and a hosereel jet were used to tackle the flames.
A Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: "Unburnt bales from the barn were extracted with an excavator vehicle, belonging to the farm, preventing the fire from spreading and escalating.
"Firefighters remained there for a number of hours, damping down. There were no casualties."
