A BURST water pipe in Burnley left residents without water earlier today.
Engineers attended the site in the BB12 post code area after the pipe burst in Coverdale Way.
A United Utilities spokesman said: “You may have noticed that the water is coming out of your tap slower than usual or may have gone off altogether.
“We’ve been out to see what might be causing this and found a burst pipe on Coverdale Way.
“A team of engineers are working hard to fix the pipe.
“We’re sorry for the trouble this may be causing you and we will get your taps flowing normally again as quickly as we can.”
Engineers working to fix a burst water pipe have spoken with homeowners to inform them about the problem.
A United Utilities spokesman said: “This is impacting only a small number of homes.
“Our team on site has spoken directly with those homeowners impacted and we aim to have taps flowing again this afternoon.
“We’re very sorry for the impact this has had.”
