A HOUSE fire in Burnley last night is being treated as a ‘suspected deliberate arson attack’.
Two fire engines attended the derelict property in Reed Street just before midnight to find a pile of clothing on fire.

Neighbours who could smell the smoke alerted the fire service about the incident in the hallway of the building.
Dom Fellows, watch manager, said: “It was a derelict house but open to access.
“We believe someone had started the fire.
“A small pile of clothes were smouldering away and created smoke.
“It is being treated as a suspected deliberate arson attack.”
Crews used one hose reel to extinguish the fire in the unoccupied property.
