STAFF at a Padiham café are convinced they have today served Bee Gees star Barry Gibb.

Employees at The Fat Giraffe café in Church Street believe they were visited by the star between 10am and 11am as he stopped for coffee with a friend.

Waitress, 17-year-old Erica Catley said she didn’t realise it was him until they started chatting and his friend introduced him.

Café owner, Clare Starbuck, said: “Erica was chatting with the two gentleman and the friend asked Erica if she recognised his friend.

“She said no, I’m only 17, I wouldn’t recognise you and the friend introduced him as Barry Gibb from the Bee Gees.

“Erica then Googled him when they left to see if it was him.

“I got into work just after he left and I was gutted I didn’t get to see him.”

No one at the shop managed to get a picture.
