A PENSIONER has denied attempting to murder a man near Bacup.
Vincent Simpson, 86, pleaded not guilty to attempting to murder Norman Harrison when he appeared over video link at Preston Crown Court.
Simpson, of The Old Manse, Pendeen, Cornwall, is accused of hitting Mr Harrison with a car near garages in Old Lane, Shawforth, on August 27, 2014, causing serious leg injuries.
Simpson was given conditional bail and will face at trial at the crown court on February 17.
