WHAT do Axl Rose, Diego Maradona, Peter Kay, and Jack Black have in common?

They are just among the list of famous people and celebrities who have posed up with our readers for photographs for their scrap books.

Asif Seedat, 41, from Blackburn, works for Euro Garages and admits he had lost count over the years of the celebs he has managed to get a picture with and most of them have been at the filling station in Samlesbury.

He has lots of shots with Rovers players Grant Hanley and Shane Duffy and ex-Rovers star Rudy Gestede and even former Coronation Street star Vicky Entwistle.

He said: “We get all the players from Blackburn rovers always coming down to fuel up, eat a subway, and have a Starbucks coffee.

“I love taking pics with all kind of people an celebrities makes it a just a bit extra special.”

Gestede and Carl Fogarty rank as among his favourites in his collection of 50 photos.

There was something rock and roll about Blackburn’s David Walsh’s meeting with ex-Guns and Rose frontman Axl Rose.

He said: “It was in Las Vegas in June 2014 during the World Cup, I was driving across the USA on Route 66, for my 50th Birthday celebrations.

“We shared a couple of tequilas, that's all he drinks apparently, whilst watching the England v Italy game.

“He liked my accent and we talked for about 30 minutes about lots of subjects touring, arguments with Slash, Liza Minnelli, women and more women.

“He even offered me a job introducing him to nice Lancashire women when he toured the area."

Even top comedian, singer and actor Jack Black makes his way on the list as Lee Clayton sent in this shot.

He said: “Just me and Jack Black at the Dismaland opening.

“(He was a) Lovely chap just as you would expect him to be and spent some time with my children chatting and taking pictures.”

William Parry, who was brought up in Blackburn, said: “I was working for Liverpool FC in 2005 as 1st team performance analyst.

“The photo was actually taken in Rafa Benitez's office.

“Diego Maradona had come to Melwood to talk to Javier Mascherano as he had just been given the Argentina national team job and wanted him to be captain.

“When word got round that Diego was in the building all the staff and players were waiting outside the manager’s office to meet him.”

Meanwhile, on Valentine’s Day 2014, Steven Raynor was travelling back to Sydney from the Philippines after a week away with work when he spotted a familiar face.

He said: “(David Beckham) Becks had just spent a few days there as a Unicef ambassador helping out after Typhoon Haiyan and was heading back to London.

“When I sent my wife the photo she initially thought I was stood next to a waxwork but it was very much the real Becks himself.”

Meanwhile, Rick Ashton, 31, from Adlington, met North West funnyman Peter Kay last year.

Lauren Yates from Great Harwood got an extra present on her 17th birthday recently.

Dad Paul Yates said: “We were leaving the Spread Eagle at Mellor when he walked in.

“We saw Carl Fogarty and I asked him for a photo with my daughter. He happily agreed and wished her happy birthday.”

Youngsters Harriot and Contance Wills from Ewood were over the moon after meeting some of their Rovers stars at the Ewood Park stadium last year.
