BLACKBURN with Darwen Council's new ruling coalition will hold its first briefing with officers tomorrow to receive details of their reviews.
The partnership, made up of the Conservatives, Liberal Democrats, and For Darwen Party, has already announced it will look at the possible reintroduction of weekly bin collections.
And other reviews are the proposed £9million Darwen Leisure Centre, the £34million Darwen Academy, traffic systems in both towns and the housing market renewal scheme.
The coalition is expected to be given details of the costs and possible barriers to implementing changes to the schemes.
Coun Tony Melia, leader of the For Darwen party, said: "The main topic will be the academy, as the decision has got to be taken quickly because a public inquiry on the subject will start next month."
He said the coalition would be asking about alternative sites, such as Darwen Moorland High School, and delaying the public inquiry, and the costs of such moves.
"We will also be getting briefings about the other reviews to find out what the state of play is."
The coalition was able to take control of the council last week.
The three parties had joined forces when the election earlier this month left their sum of seats outnumbering Labour's 31.
