AN 18-YEAR-old has been charged in connection with an alleged attack which left a man fighting for his life on New Year's Day.
Neil Roberts, 35, from the Mill Hill area of Blackburn, was knocked unconscious at 2.30am on January 1.
He was walking home after celebrating the New Year with friends in the Waters Edge pub when he was subjected to an alleged attack.
He was taken to Royal Blackburn Hospital with serious head injuries, however he is now said to be making a recovery.
Kyle McCosh, 18, of Greenway Street, Darwen has been charged with wounding with intent.
McCosh has been bailed to appear before Blackburn magistrates on Wednesday, May 23.
