POLICE were called to Stacksteads after the sudden death of a man.
Officers were called to a house in Hoyle Street at 10.30am today after receiving reports that a man in his 70s had died.
The man's death is not being treated as suspicious and his family were at the house when officers arrived. Police had been called by the ambulance service.
A police spokesman said: "We got a call from the ambulance service just after 10.30am on Monday to reports of the sudden death of a man in his 70s in Hoyle Street, Stacksteads.
"There are no suspicious circumstances."
