A GLASTONBURY regular will headline the next comedy night at the Darwen Library Theatre, Knott Street, on December 5.
Liverpudlian Steve ‘Gribbo’ Gribbin is known to a generation of people who attend the festival as he has been asked to play there every year for over 20 years.
He will be joined by Lancashire’s Phil Walker who started his career on the holiday park circuit working for Butlins.
At the turn of the millennium he decided a change of direction was needed in order for him to progress, so turned his attentions to the now burgeoning alternative circuit.
Within a very short space he was voted City Life Comedian of the Year joining previous winners Peter Kay, John Bishop and Steve Coogan.
Tom Lucy will also be performing, who started comedy at the young age of 17, along with compere for the evening Carl Hutchinson.
Tickets are selling fast and are £10 in advance or £12 on the door if there are any left.
They are available from the venue or at darwencomedy.co.uk. The show starts at 8pm.
