From the Liverpudlian’s ‘Scouse Corned Beef Hash’ to ‘Panaculty’ hailing from the North East, the ‘Corned Beef Hash Clash’ will celebrate the countless undiscovered recipes passed down the generations or famed in local fooderies.

The traditional family favourite Corned Beef Hash has seen a revival in recent years with households across the UK cooking up traditional home-cooked food and gastro pubs offering comforting dishes on their menus.

Popular local additions to the classic recipe include egg, cheese or root vegetables and the dish is renowned for being stewed or baked in the North and fried in Southern areas of the UK.

To mark the start of winter warmers recipe season, Princes food is celebrating the popular Corned Beef Hash and awarding £1,000 to the best recipe as voted for by the public.

Corned Beef Hash, deriving from the French verb, ‘hacher ’meaning ‘to chop’, is a traditional dish consisting of corned beef, potatoes and spices that are mixed together and cooked either alone or along with other ingredients.
