A JEALOUS husband who made nuisance phone calls to his wife of 27 years, just days after being released from prison for holding a knife to her throat, is back behind bars.

Milan Olejar, 57, was the subject of a restraining order, after being jailed for 14 months for a terrifying incident involving his former partner Urina Olejarova, Burnley Crown Court heard.

In the first call Olejar demanded to know whether his estranged wife’s new partner was at her home in Rickard Road, Nelson, the court heard.

His wife called police and officers were present when a second call was made later that same night, when she told him he was being sought for contacting her.

Olejar, a Czech national, of no fixed address, has already been recalled to prison, for breaching the terms of his licence, and will not be released until next April.

Robert Elias, defending, said his client was married to Ms Olejarova for 27 years and had made a “jealous” phone call to his former wife.

He accepted it was a “wrong and stupid” decision, but issued no real threats.

Judge Beverley Lunt imposed a 10-month prison sentence, to run concurrently with his existing custodial term.
