CLITHEROE have been rocked by the news that Blackburn Rovers loanee striker Callum Hendry faces a lengthy spell on the sidelines having ruptured his medial collateral ligaments and his anterior cruciate ligament injury.

The teenage frontman suffered the serious injury in last weekend’s win over Mossley and the Blues have now discovered the full extend of the injury which is expected to rule the 17-year-old out for at least six to nine months.

Clitheroe, who have been drawn away at Bacup Borough in the Lancashire Trophy, host Harrogate Railway tomorrow. in the Evo-Stik League First Division North.
