A MAN who dragged his partner along a street and then forced his way into a house and attacked her has been told he will "inevitably" be jailed.
Burnley Crown Court heard how Patrick Gilheaney, 25, battered the victim "from pillar to post".
The defendant, of Whittle Street, Rawtenstall, admitted using violence to secure entry to a property in Parkinson Street, Haslingden, last June 10 and assault causing actual bodily harm.
He denied making a threat to kill and the prosecution will offer no evidence on that allegation.
Gilheaney was remanded in custody until June 5 for a pre-sentence report and was warned by Recorder Terence Rigby it was "inevitable" he would go to jail.
