THE circumstances surrounding the death of a woman found in a Kelbrook stable on Saturday night remain a mystery.
Police initially treated the death as suspicious after the 46-year-old was found unresponsive in Old Stone Trough Lane at around 9.40pm.

A man was arrested but later released without charge, and the file has now been handed to Burnley coroner’s office.
The woman was found at the stables in the narrow lane just off the A56 near Barnoldswick.
Residents spoke of their shock after the news filtered through following police activity in the area into the early hours of Sunday morning.
A post mortem examination is set to take place today and the identity of the woman has not been formally released.
