THREE women who used to be members of Darwen Morris Dancers have been traced as part of an appeal in The Lancashire Telegraph.
Jean Patterson, who was a member of the original senior troupe, and Sheila Aldcroft, who was an original member of the junior and Dinkies troupes, contacted Terry Ashby who is helping to organise the troupe's 50th anniversary celebration.
Jean Butterworth, of the later 1958 junior troupe, has also been in touch.
Original members are being sought for a party.
Agnes Appleyard, who set up Darwen Morris Dancers, and women from the original 14-strong troupe are invited to the event, to take place at Ewood Park on October 13.
Old photos are also being requested.
Mr Ashby is particularly looking for photographs of Darwen Morris Dancers taken between 1960 and 1970, although all photos are welcome.
Anyone who can help should call Mr Ashby on 01254 774392, or drop off photos at 97 Sudellside Street, Darwen.
All photographs will be returned.
