A Preston man who admitted driving a van parked on a grass verge in Whalley Road, Clitheroe, after it ran out of petrol, told police he didn't know he was disqualified.
Lee Eric Davies, 30, of Pope Lane, Preston, pleaded guilty to driving while disqualified and without insurance.
He was sentenced to community supervision for eight months, banned for six months, and ordered to pay £80 costs.
Roger Pickles, defending, said police did not see Davies driving and the only evidence was his own admission, supporting his contention he did not know he was disqualified.
