Bacup Road in Waterfoot will be closed this Sunday due to a delayed resurfacing project.
The work is part of a traffic calming scheme, which includes a mini-roundabout at the junction of Burnley Road East and Bacup Road.
The scheme also includes putting in new pedestrian crossings and pavement improvement.
It was started on January 22 and was expected to last about 13 weeks but has now overrun by two weeks.
