THREE East Lancashire towns will pit their wits against each other in a Test the Town Challenge' this month.
The challenge aims to raise awareness of literacy and numeracy as part of the county-wide Adult Learners' Week.
People of Great Harwood, Padiham and Barnoldswick will be asked to answer 15 questions, which also covers local knowledge.
Organisers will be at selected locations in each of the towns from Wednesday, May 23, to Friday, May 25.
People who complete the test will be entered into a daily draw to win a DVD player.
They can also find out more about recognised qualifications in maths and English that are available to help people "get on" in work and life.
The qualifications being offered can be taken locally at Accrington and Rossendale College, Burnley College, Nelson and Colne College.
