HUNDREDS of people gathered for Burnley's annual May Day festival.
The festivities began with a parade from behind the town hall up to Towneley Park.
Speeches were made by MP John McDonnell, who has declared as a Labour leadership contender.
Burnley and Pendle's MPs, Kitty Ussher and Gordon Prentice, also addressed the crowd.
Visitors were also able to enjoy a funfair as well as dog agility displays, donkey rides, a climbing wall and charity and trade union stalls with tombolas and raffles.
This was the last May Day organised by Jack Preston, who has presided over the event since 1988.
Trades Union Council secretary Peter Thorne has taken over the role.
