HOSPICE Care for Burnley and Pendle received a cheque for £5,250 from one of their newer fundraising groups.

Indigo Hospice Fundraising Group in Colne named the group after the business run by two of the group members.

Indigo Financial Services, owned by Craig Reaney and Darren Turner, and has been run from Darren's home since it was set up two years ago. However, the company recently moved into bespoke premises on Spring Lane in Colne. Craig and Darren were keen to help a local charity and with Darren's fiancée Sara Pollitt decided on Pendleside Hospice.

The Indigo Fundraising Group has been helping the hospice for about 18-months and have held several fundraising initiatives such as a sponsored Leeds-Liverpool Canal Cycle, raffling flat screen televisions at Barrowford and Trawden Agricultural Shows and support from Sara's company KMPG.

The money raised will help Pendleside provide care to local people suffering from cancer and other life limiting illnesses.

Hospice Fundraising Manager, Kaye Bartle said: "I don't know how Darren and Craig have managed to find the time to raise such a massive amount of money whilst at the same time trying to get their own business off the ground, but we are very grateful to them for their efforts."
