PENDLE councillors are set to approve Barnoldswick's first wind turbine.
Members of West Craven committee are recommended to give the go-ahead to plans for a 19 metre turbine at Far Newfield Edge Farm, as part of a larger application to build a detached garage and workshop.
The planning officers report, to be considered by the committee tomorrow, states that the turbine will not have too much impact because the site has a natural dip in the land.
The applicant says that the three-blade turbine would supply all electricity for the farm.
An earlier plan to put up a turbine in the town divided opinion among residents, who will be given the chance to have their say at the committee meeting tomorow at Baptist Church Centre, starting at 7pm.
