MOUNTAIN rescue team volunteers, paramedics and the North West Air Ambulance were called out after a 47-year-old man came off his motorbike.
The incident happened Cowm Quarry, off High Barn Lane, Shawforth, at 2.42pm on Saturday.
Fortunately, the 47-year-old’s injuries were only thought to be minor and he was taken to Royal Blackburn Hospital by an ambulance.
A spokesman for Rossendale an Pendle Mountain Rescue Team said: “As we arrived on scene, the casualty was already with paramedics and appeared to be suffering with minor injuries.
“Our team then assisted the paramedics with transporting the casualty in one of our 4×4 vehicles to the main road, where the land ambulance was parked.
“A short time later, the casualty was then transported to Royal Blackburn Hospital for treatment.”
The volunteers were at the scene for around an hour and a half.
