WITH the old Furthergate club in Blackburn demolished at the end of last year, we thought it was worth remembering some of Blackburn's old clubs.

Not so long ago, Blackburn was a mecca for music lovers and clubs such as the Cavendish which went on to become Peppermint Place, and then Utopia were packed to the brim.

Manhattan Heights which became Northern Lights and then Millennium in Cicely Lane, enjoyed crowds of revellers who flocked to dance to the the latest hits.
