WORK will begin on Tuesday to replace nearly 2km of water mains in the Samlesbury area.
The £200,000 improvements will start in Preston New Road from the junction with the A59 Whalley Road to just past Samlesbury Hall in Preston New Road. The work should last six weeks.
It will then continue in to Whalley Road, from near Turner Green to Myerscough Smithy Road. The work should take two weeks and temporary traffic lights will be in use.
