A man who was seriously injured in a fatal car accident is slowly improving in hospital.
Christian Gillibrand, 20, of Ramsgreave Road, Blackburn, remains in a stable condition in the Royal Blackburn Hospital after internal injuries in a crash involving a Honda Civic Type R in Mellor Lane, Mellor, on April 21.
The horror smash claimed the life of Ashley Connell, 23, Knowsley Road, Wilpshire, and injured four others, when the car ploughed in to a parked vehicle near the Spread Eagle pub.
Another of the survivors, Sam Litherland, 21, of Longsight Road, Copster Green, sustained neck, back, lung and facial injuries in the crash but was released from Royal Preston Hospital earlier this week.
Ashley Fielding, 25, of Whalley Banks, Whalley, suffered a broken shoulder and pelvis but was released last Friday from the Royal Preston Hospital.
Julian Hollings, 23, of Ribchester Road, Blackburn, sustained head and lung injuries and was released from the Royal Blackburn Hosptial on Tuesday.
