A MAN is to face another trial charged with killing a former Gulf War veteran.
Matthew Bourne is accused of murdering former Rossendale resident William Prosser, after an incident in a Colchester High Street sandwich shop.
Bourne, 22, denied the murder but after a trial last month a jury at Chelmsford Crown Court, Essex, was discharged after they failed to reach a verdict in the case.
A fresh trial will start at Chelmsford on Monday, September 3.
Bourne, from St Osyth near Clacton, Essex, is accused of killing Mr Prosser, 36, after he was found in an alley on April 9 last year.
Mr Prosser, who had moved to Diggle near Oldham, was visiting a former naval friend in Colchester.
