Leah, 23, of Leopold Way, Blackburn, pleaded guilty to two charges of shoplifting from Matalan. He was remanded on bail for the preparation of a pre-sentence report.
Jonathan Taylor, defending, said Leah had been sacked from his job and had not applied for benefits.
“He was hoping to get back into work, but it didn’t pan out that way,” said Mr Taylor.
