Kris Drever, Martin Green and Aidan O'Rourke came together in 2005 to form a sort of folk supergroup.
And they've made such waves as Lau, with triumphant live performances all around our fair isle, that this debut album became inevitable.
Every track on this disc is about as sublime as the self-contradicting genre of modern traditional' music gets - by turns mournful, heart-rending, stomping, wild, serene, intricate and straightforward.
