POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a teenager was hit by a car as she crossed Centenary Way, Burnley.
The girl, 15, was crossing the road near the roundabout at the top of the road at 1.15pm on Saturday when the accident happened.
A blue car had stopped to let her and a friend cross, but a second car, believed to be a silver taxi, clipped her with its wing mirror.
The girl told the taxi driver and the driver of the blue car she was unhurt, but later reported the accident to police after feeling pain in her hip.
Police want to speak to the driver of the silver taxi.
PC Mark Newton said: "We would like to speak to anyone who saw the accident so that we can establish exactly what has happened."
Anyone with information on the incident should call 01706 237528.
