Fire crews rescued a person from a flat in Burnley after a plastic food tray accidentally left on the electric hob melted, filling the property with toxic smoke.
A crew from Burnley was called at 1.15am yesterday.
One of the inhabitants of the Forest Street property was helped out by crew members, because of the thick smoke.
Two people were treated by paramedics for smoke inhalation.
The cooker was damaged and the flat smoke-damaged.
