PROPOSALS to increase the size of a Rossendale wind farm will be discussed in Ramsbottom next week.
Peel Energy and United Utilities have announced a joint venture to install an extra 16 wind turbines at Scout Moor, between Rawtenstall and Edenfield.
The farm is already the second biggest on-shore wind farm in England, with 26 turbines.
A meeting hosted by former BBC TV presenter, Martin Henfield, will take place at Ramsbottom Civic Hall on June 18.
The Holcombe Society will also discuss the plans at a summer picnic in front of Peel Tower on June 14.
Bury North's Conservative MP, David Nuttall, said he was keen for residents on the Rossendale-Bury border to make their views heard.
He said: "This is not an issue just for Ramsbottom but for all the people of Bury, and indeed for all those who enjoy walks around Peel Tower and the surrounding open moorland."
