A NEW takeaway with lots of new dishes on the menu - it's the ultimate prize for a reviewer.
Having watched the Zahrashya take shape, I'd given it a few weeks to "settle in" before going along to sample the food, and I'm really glad I went.
It offers a wide variety of dishes and - a nice touch - offers to create any dish that's not on the menu.
I went for two specialities, sag chicken for me and for the better half lamb sharish.
At £12.40 including pilau rice, chapattis and sauces I thought it was good value.
My saag chicken was delicately done with soft spinach adding to the dish rather than taking it over.
It was only bhuna hot but the added spices made it tasty.
The sharish dish had plenty of tender lamb cooked in a thick spicy sauce.
It was hot but not overpowering.
The Zahrashya may be a newcomer but it's certainly started off the right way.
