AN INDIAN restaurant and bar that opened on the site of Accrington’s former lap dancing club will find out whether it has been granted a new licence tomorrow.
Councillors will meet to decide whether to grant Clifton Indian Restaurant, in Blackburn Road, permission to stay open until 3am seven days a week.

The building formerly housed controversial club iCandy, which attracted thousands of punters despite a wealth of opposition to it.
Owner Usman Ali also wants to sell alcohol until closing time, but said in documents staff would ask anybody who looks under 21 to prove their age.
The ground floor of the building, at the corner of Blackburn Road, and Dutton Street, traded as the Quatro Brasserie and did not require new planning permission.
