FOURTEEN new homes could be built on spare land in Accrington, it has been revealed.
Documents lodged with the council show 14 apartments will be built on a former council car park off Wellington Street.
They will be contained within three separate buildings, which will each have a footprint of 134 square metres .
“The site was last utilised as a private car park by occupants and visitors to a Lancashire County Council-operated day centre for people with learning difficulties.
“Since the re-opening of the two-storey building as a children’s day nursery in 2010, the car park is understood to have been deemed surplus to requirements and was sold on the open market.”
