Blackburn pensioner charged with murdering wife
A BLACKBURN pensioner has been charged with the murder of his wife.
87-year-old John Smith, of Aberdare Close, Blackburn has been charged with the murder of Marian Smith, 74.
He is due to appear before Preston Magistrates this afternoon.

Police were called to an address on Aberdare Close at around 9.10am on Thursday, April 9.
Marian Smith was pronounced dead at the address.
A Home Office Post Mortem established the cause of death as stab wounds.
