SIX people have been convicted of violent disorder after a "vicious" large-scale pub fight.
A woman suffered head injuries after she was attacked during the disturbance at a karaoke night at the Brownhill Arms, Blackburn, on Sunday, October 23.
Melanie Archer, 43, of Naarain Court; Ella Mack, 42, of Douglas Place; Paula Walker, 43, of Douglas Place; David Mack, 20, of Douglas Place; Liam Walker, 21, of Clarendon Road; and Joseph Heywood, 21, of Queen's Road, all Blackburn; were found guilty of violent disorder after a month-long trial at Preston Crown Court.
Christopher Drew Brooks, 47, of Albany Road, Blackburn, and Danielle Coralan, 18, of Redwing Avenue, Great Harwood, were found not guilty.
A 46-year-old man from Whalley also suffered minor injuries during the incident at the Whalley Road pub.
After the case, DC Dan Perkins, of Blackburn CID, said: "This was a violent incident in a normally quiet pub attended by regular drinkers.
"On the evening, the female defendants entered the pub, became intoxicated and started a fight, during which a 29-year-old woman fell to the floor and was repeatedly kicked by them.
"This was a vicious assault that required hospital treatment for the victim's injuries.
"I hope this sends out a strong message to those people who engage themselves in violence, particularly in pubs where alcohol plays a significant part, that incidents of this nature will be thoroughly investigated and will not be tolerated."
The six are due to be sentenced at Preston Crown Court on March 28.
