The mayor of Burnley, Coun Mohammed Najib, welcomed members of British Councils from Norway and India this week.
Coun Najib said: "The representatives came on a fact-finding mission to find out how things work here in Burnley.
"They came to the town hall and I briefed them about our community.
"One of the representatives from Norway, Ted Matthews, is from Burnley originally and now works in Norway, so it was a bit of a homecoming for him!"
