AN INTER-faith walk which brought different religions together for a stroll through the streets of Hyndburn has been hailed as a great success.
More than 250 people from Accrington's Raza Jamia Mosque, Grimshaw Street, and St Peter's Church, Richmond Street, were joined by guests from across Lancashire.
The event started at St Peter's Church, where Father David Lyon explained about Christian worship.
Everyone present then walked together to the Raza Jamia Mosque where Asid Mahmood welcomed visitors to look around the mosque.
Mr Mahmood then invited the Imam to say prayers.
Father Lyon said: "I am very pleased at the excellent turnout and the positive development of relations between the church and the mosque."
The event was organised by Hyndburn Community Network's inter-faith forum which promotes positive dialogue between the different religions in the borough.
