TWO East Lancs businesses are celebrating after winning at the North West Fine Food awards.
The Fence Gate Inn, Wheatley Lane Road, Fence, won the best sausages with natural additives' category for its National and Lancashire's Champion Sausage.
The bitter chocolate torte at the Cultured Bean cafe, in Bridge Street, Ramsbottom, scooped the prize for best sweet pastry.
More than 500 entries were judged by a panel of over 40 famous faces, including top chefs Nigel Howarth and Paul Askew, at Blackburn Rovers Football Club.
Both businesses will now go forward to a gala dinner in Manchester in March, where a panel of judges will determine the overall category winners - NW Fine Food Producer of the Year 2007 and NW Fine Food Best New Product 2007.
