Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service said 10 firefighters used foam extinguishers to put out the ‘minor’ blaze.
A spokesman added: “A couple of them used breathing apparatus to get to the smoky area of the kitchen but it was relatively small so hose pumps weren’t needed. There were no casualties.”
The pub, owned by the Northcote Group’s Ribble Valley Inns arm, was not open to customers at the time.
