YOUNGSTERS are set to attend an apprentice event in the new year.
Held at Accrington Town Hall from 4pm until 7pm on Thursday, January 15, the event will be the third hosted by the council.
Leader Coun Miles Parkinson said: “We’ve already run two successful apprenticeship events attended by more than 400 young people, and filling many vacancies.
“Lots of businesses have already signed up and we’re looking for more with real opportunities to come and promote them.”
Several training firms, and businesses from across the borough have signed up, including Training 2000, Accrington and Rossendale College, BAE Systems, Hyndburn Homes, North Lancs Training Group, the borough and county councils, and Age UK.
The event is aimed at anyone who may be thinking about an apprenticeship, regardless of age.
