A BOOKKEEPER is hoping to raise hundreds of pounds for charity after a breast cancer scare last year.
Beverly Tiller, of Spring Street, Rishton went to see her doctor after she discovered a lump on her left breast in August last year.
The 28-year-old was referred to a specialist and given the all clear two months later.
She said: "Luckily the lump was benign but as a way of coping with it I decided to organise something positive to raise money for breast cancer.
"When I got the all clear I was even more determined to start raising money and get the community spirit back."
Miss Tiller is hoping to raise hundreds of pounds from a night of fun activities on February 3.
Events include a prize for the most outrageous pink costume, a DJ, a raffle, and a Blackburn Rovers shirt and signed photograph for auction donated by Blackburn Rovers.
She has also organised a name that boob' competition which she hopes will encourage more women to check themselves regularly.
She said: "I want to promote the fact that you have to look for changes as well as feel for them."
"You need to get into a routine. I check once a month.
The evening starts at 8pm and is free.
