A DRUNKEN man who walked into an Accrington taxi office drinking from a bottle of vodka used vile racist abuse towards people inside.
Blackburn magistrates heard he told one man he wanted to fight, before leaving the office and urinating by the front door.
Paul Michael Allen, 24, of Oswald Street, Accrington, pleaded guilty to racially aggravated threatening behaviour towards Sajjid Khan. He was bailed for the preparation of a pre-sentence report.
Catherine Allan, prosecuting, said Allen went into the Central Taxis office on Burnley Road, where Mr Khan was in the office. Allen tried to enter the staff-only part and became abusive after being told he could not enter.
“Mr Khan and the female controller both told police it was the worst racist abuse they had ever heard,” said Miss Allan.
Jonathan Taylor, defending, said Allen was disgusted with the language he had used. “He remem-bers very little until he woke up in a police cell,” said Mr Taylor. “He accepts it was a thoroughly unpleasant incident.”
