ROLLING back the years on January 27 at Burnley Mechanics is Class of '64 - who boast to be "probably the most credible and original 60s band on the circuit".
Featuring legends from the Sixties Mick Avory, Eric Haydock, Chip Hawkes plus special guests Graham Pollock and "Telecaster" Ted Tomlin, the band will revisit the songs which made their original bands famous.
The band was formed in 2004 on request of The Animals, who were about to do their 40th anniversary tour, and asked Chip Hawkes, formerly of The Tremeloes, to form a band to tour along with them.
He contacted original members of British 60's-era groups, Mick Avory of The Kinks, and Eric Haydock of The Hollies.
Class of '64, Mick Avory, Eric Haydock and Chip Hawkes with special guests, Burnley Mechanics, Saturday, January 27, 8pm. Call 01282 664400.
