FIFTY workers face redundancy at Holland's Pies, Baxenden, as production of pastry items moves to Ireland.
Consultations have begun and are expected to last 30 days.
Simon Clarke, business unit director said: "The announcement is likely to cause concern and we will make every effort to support employees."
The Baxenden factory will stay open, with production of Holland's brand pies and puddings unaffected.
