TWO elderly women were treated by paramedics after they were knocked down on a main road today.
The two women were crossing Bacup Road in Waterfoot outside the G8 garage when they were struck by a vehicle just after 10am.
The road was closed while paramedics treated the women, and police carried out an investigation of the scene.
