THE only church in Darwen with a set of fully functional bells wants to hear from people wishing to train as bell ringers.
St Peter's, in Church Street, has six regular Sunday morning bell ringers but new recruits are required.
The church welcomes anyone but they must be physically fit and able. There is half an hour of bell ringing on Sunday from 10am and rehearsals every Tuesday, from 6.45pm to 8pm.
